User Data Deletion Policy
Effective Date: 23 November 2025
PROQUERY Pty Ltd (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates ProQuery, ProQuery Insure, and ProQuery Deals (collectively the “Services”). We respect your right to be forgotten and make it easy for you to request permanent deletion of your personal data in line with POPIA, GDPR, and FAIS requirements.
You can ask us to delete your data at any time by sending an email to: info@proquery.live
Your request must include:
Your full name
The phone number registered with any of our Services
A clear statement such as “I request full deletion of my personal data from ProQuery, ProQuery Insure, and ProQuery Deals”
(You can send one single request – it will cover all three Services.)
For your protection, we will verify your identity before deleting anything. We may ask you to:
Reply from the email address you have previously used with us
Confirm details of recent chats or uploaded documents
Provide part of your South African ID number (only if strictly necessary and immediately deleted after verification)
When your request is approved, we will permanently delete or anonymise:
Your WhatsApp phone number and profile
All chat history and messages
All uploaded documents (SOPs, insurance files, till slips, quotes, etc.)
Client information submitted to ProQuery Insure (ID numbers, income, medical details, risk profiles, etc.)
Shopping preferences and linked bank/till-slip data in ProQuery Deals
Any backups containing your identifiable data
We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days
Full deletion will be completed within 30 calendar days of successful verification (often much faster)
You will receive a confirmation message once everything is permanently removed
South African law sometimes requires us to retain certain records:
Insurance-related data (ProQuery Insure) – up to 5 years after the last interaction (FAIS / FICA requirement)
Financial transaction records – up to 5 years (tax and anti-money-laundering laws)
Court orders or ongoing legal disputes
Where we are legally required to keep data, we will:
Restrict it so it can only be used for the legal purpose
Delete it automatically as soon as the legal retention period ends
Anonymised data (e.g., “a user in Gauteng asked about car insurance”) that can never be linked back to you may be kept for product improvement.
You will no longer be able to use ProQuery, ProQuery Insure, or ProQuery Deals with that phone number
All chat history and preferences disappear permanently
You can re-register at any time with the same number (it will be treated as a brand-new user)
